Current job opportunities
We are currently recruiting two postdoctoral fellows at the Università di Bologna - Alma Mater Studiorum to work with myself and collaborators on the ERC-funded project "Asterochronometry - Galactic archeology with high temporal resolution".
Successful applicants will join the Department of Physics and Astronomy, Università di Bologna. The department, together with the adjacent Osservatorio di Astrofisica e di Scienze dello Spazio offers a lively and inspiring environment, with about 100 academic and research staff involved in astrophysics. The University attracts students worldwide and the postdocs will have opportunities to supervise master and PhD thesis.
Interested candidates with expertise in any of the following areas:
- modelling the structure and evolution of single and binary stars, asteroseismology,
- Galactic structure and dynamics, Galactic structure and dynamics,
- stellar populations studies from large-scale surveys, spectroscopy, data-mining and statistical techniques,
